Darul Adviat (The House of Medicine) was established some fifty five years ago in Sukkur- the third biggest and historical city of Sindh- by Late Mr. Khilafat Hussain who had the honour of being the president of Pakistan Chemist and Druggist Association. Initially he started his business with Allopathic medicines and established branches in Karachi, Dacca and Chittagong. In 1977 he switched over to Homoeopathic medicines, shifted from Sukkur to Karachi, and organised his business on modern lines.

In 1982, Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH &Co. KG, Germany appointed Darul Adviat as one of its authorised distributor in Pakistan. In collaboration with Darul Adviat it also gave out gold medals to students of Homoeopathic medicine who had secured positions; this is now fully patronised by Dr. Willmar Schwabe.

In those days, the import of Dr. Willmar Schwabe's homoeopathic medicines was monopolised by a group, which earned large profits by supplying less against a large demand for these medicines. Darul Adviat adopted the policy of earning less profit while meeting the demands of the consumers.

Before Darul Adviat was established, very limited range of Homoeopathic medicines were imported and Homoeopathic doctors could not get and prescribe rare medicines. To solve the problem, Darul Adviat decided to import all medicines mentioned in Boeric Materia Medica. This decision came as a great relief not only to the doctors but also the wholesalers and retailers.

Today, wholesalers and retailers from all over Pakistan approach Darul Adviat. Darul Adviat also makes available a Medicine List to the wholesale dealers in which complete detail of its present stock position and wholesale rates are given. Others have now adopted this procedure.

Darul Adviat has the honour of introducing Homoeopathy through the media. It publishes booklets regarding new and old medicines and recent research in this field. It creates awareness among people about Homoeopathy through seminars.

In 2009 Dr. Willmar Schwabe, Germany has appointed Darul Adviat as his Exclusive Partner/Sole Distributor for their entire range of Biochemic & Bioplasgen Medicines and for 5 special products including world famous weight reducing tablets i.e. Phytolacca Berry Tablet N, Bryorheum, Nisylen, Ornatic & Tonsiotren Tablets.

Darul Adviat believes in the benefits of modern techniques and by the grace of Almighty Allah today its business is fully computerised. The company, which was founded by Late Mr. Khilafat Hussain, is now flourishing under the supervision of his sons and is well known throughout the country for its honesty and fair dealing
